Overview
NGS Manufacturing, is a full-service sign and mailbox manufacturer in Naples, Florida. NGS uses 3/16th end mills to route sign and mailbox forms out of 3/16th 5052 aluminum.
Problem
NGS’s cutting operation was limited by capacity, each cut required an employee to hand spray lubrication. A major barrier for a small business. Additionally, tooling needed to repurchased monthly.
Solution
Unhappy with their current process, NGS reached out to Unist for help. For multi-axis aluminum routing, Unist recommended a 2 output Coolubricator® and Coolube® 2210AL cutting fluid.
The dual output is necessary when cutting in multiple directions to ensure the bit’s cutting edge is always lubricated - preventing any dead zones.
Results
Three months after installation, NGS is astounded with the performance and cost savings of the Coolubricator®. The dedicated lubrication system freed employee work capacity, and extended their tool life by 400%!
NGS is also impressed with how truly little fluid is needed to make such a big impact. In only 3 months, while producing thousands of products, NGS only used 2 gallons of Coolube®.
