Unist Basic Terms & Conditions

Payment Terms

United States or Canada: C.O.D., Credit Card (Master Card, VISA, Discover, and American Express), ACH/EFT or Wire Transfer. Net terms are available with credit approval. Credit Card charges of $5000 USD or more are subject to a 3% fee.

Outside US or Canada: 100% Advance Payment is due prior to shipment by wire transfer unless prior credit has been established. Other payment terms available are 50% Down/50% upon receipt of goods for customers completing the credit approval process.


F.O.B.

United States or Canada: Grand Rapids Michigan. Shipments will be made by the least expensive means unless otherwise requested.

Outside US or Canada: Prices quoted are EX-WORKS/FOB Grand Rapids, MI, USA (unless otherwise previously agreed in writing) and title and risk of loss to each article of goods sold hereunder shall pass to Buyer upon delivery at FOB point.


Minimum Order

Outside US or Canada: Minimum billings will be $250.00 USD for all orders. Otherwise, a $50.00 USD international service fee will be added.


Handling Charge

All parcel orders will have a $5.00 handling charge added to order total. Freight orders will have a minimum of a $50.00 handling charge added to order total.


Rush Orders

Rush orders are subject to a 10% expedite fee.


Returns

Returns will only be accepted with prior authorization from UNIST and with a valid Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number on each shipping container and all paperwork accompanying the return. Returns must be safely packaged and all items must be in original packaging. Goods must be shipped prepaid via a reliable carrier. You are responsible for the goods until received in our warehouse. Credits or refunds will be issued after the returns are inspected by UNIST. Unless previously arranged with and agreed to by Unist, returns are subject to a 25% restocking charge.


Repairs

Any product that fails due to defects in material or workmanship during the warranty period will be repaired or replaced free of charge. Repairs outside of the warranty period will be quoted after inspection of the product. There is a minimum $50 inspection fee per piece of equipment for any non-warranty repair. All items shipped back for repair must follow the Returns guidelines given above.


Liability

UNIST's liability is limited to the cost of the product and does not include the cost of any other charges. UNIST shall not be liable to or responsible for any consequential damages whatsoever, including but not to limited to any damage or loss resulting from delay or default in delivery due to any cause.


Order Acceptance & Cancellation

Any order shall not be binding on UNIST until acknowledged from its home office, UNIST, Inc. 4134 36th ST SE Grand Rapids, MI 49512-2903, USA. Once the order has been acknowledged, the buyer cannot cancel the order without first obtaining written consent from UNIST. On such a cancellation there will likely be a charge to cover the cost of any work in progress or expenses incurred in attempting to fulfill the order before cancellation.


Guaranteed Trial Purchase Order Policy

For Pre-Approved 30 day trials of select Unist products, the equipment is shipped on a guaranteed purchase order basis. The success of the 30 day guaranteed trial equipment will be based on pre-approved criteria agreed upon between Unist – who has final and sole discretion to grant GTO Terms – and the customer. Equipment may be returned within or at the end of the 30 day period in accordance following the returns policy above. Equipment retained more than 30 days will be assumed to be accepted by the customer and payment terms begin on the 31st day.


Warranty

UNIST warrants to the Purchaser that the equipment is free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. When UNIST Coolube™ lubricant is used exclusively in the equipment, UNIST warranties its positive displacement pumps for as long as the original purchaser owns the equipment (lifetime). In all cases electronic parts are covered for 180 days. This warranty does not cover normal service parts or parts that fail due to chemical attack, incompatible fluids, abuse, improper service, or improper use. There is no warranty of merchantability or fitness of purpose. UNIST reserves the right to correct any defect by either repairing or replacing defective parts or refunding the purchase price. Warranty returns must be done in compliance with UNIST's return policy.


Coolube® Lifetime Pump Warranty

The Coolube® Lifetime Pump Warranty means that Unist MQL system owners who use Coolube® exclusively in their systems enjoy a lifetime warranty on their system’s pumps.
