Low or No Atomizing Flow at the Nozzle in Single-Line Systems

Single-line tubing mixes air and oil at the pump and delivers the atomized mixture to the nozzle through a single tube. Flooding the tubing with fluid can significantly reduce the amount of atomizing flow reaching the nozzle. This condition is often made worse when long tubing runs (over 20’) are used between the pump and the nozzle.

If the tubing becomes restricted due to excessive fluid accumulation, it can be cleared using one of the following methods:
• Operate the system with the air metering screw fully open. If the pump is adjustable, set it to zero stroke.
• Disconnect the tubing from the pump and allow the fluid to drain slowly.
• Apply compressed air to one end of the tubing while collecting the expelled fluid from the opposite end.
