How do I change fluid amounts on APEX^™ system?

The APEX^™controller is a very accurate fluid dispensing system that utilizes a positive displacement pump to dose fluid to the roller system. Because of this, the exact volume of fluid to dispense can be calculated and controlled.

To change the amount of fluid dispensed to a Uni-Roller^® lubricator, utilize the user interface on the system to perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to the setup manager display
2. Select edit current setup
3. Select the roller that you want to adjust the fluid amount for and enter the desired value.
4. Press the Save Setup button
5. Resume Operation

Fluid settings can be individually adjusted for each roller in the attached Uni-Roller^® lubricator, including top and bottom fluid settings. Fluid settings are entered in either mg per square foot or mg per square meter. If more lubricant is desired, increase the setting. For less lubricant, decrease the setting. Adjust the settings to change cup weights and film thicknesses as desired. Unist recommends allowing at least 20 to 30 minutes of line run time after making changes before rechecking film weights as the system finds a new equilibrium.
