How do I wire a Mini-Roller^™or Vertical Mini-Roller^™rotation sensor?

The Mini-Roller^™rotation sensor is actually a reed switch, which provides a dry contact signal when a magnetic field passes by and closes the contact.

Despite there being three wires in the cable, only the black and blue wires should be wired to a controller. The brown wire is not connected to anything in the switch, so it should not be used.
