How to wire a dry contact input to a SmartFlow®controller.

A dry contact input is normally connected to the bottom screw terminals of an input (SIG and 24VDC), as shown on the SmartFlow®wiring schematic.

Note, even though this is the recommended way to connect a dry contact input, a dry contact will also work when connected to the top two screw terminals. This is because the SmartFlow®system is designed to accept either NPN or PNP inputs. GND or 24VDC can be sent back to SIG – the SmartFlow®can accept either one.
