Low HMI battery on APEX^™

The Apex^™ warning "HMI is Low” indicates a low HMI battery which should be replaced within two weeks of the warning appearing. Changing the HMI battery regularly is important to ensure that the program held in the processor does not get erased in the event of a power outage.

The battery should be replaced with Unist part number 302252, or equivalent. To change the battery, follow the below sequence:

1. Open the control panel door
2. Remove the HMI battery cover
3. Remove the old battery
4. Install the new battery ensuring proper orientation
5. Reinstall the battery cover
6. Close the control panel door and resume operation
