Problem

Primarily stamping thin gauge aluminum (as wide as 72”), Fayette Tool relied on specialty carpet rollers and in-die spray systems to lubricate their stock. Fayette Tool was unhappy with the maintenance the systems required, and the oil run-off. It was a sloppy mess.

Solution

Analyzing several solutions, Fayette opted to invest in Unist’s Uni-Roller® and smart fluid delivery system. Unist’s metal-forming package offered the best return on investment while integrating easily with their existing press lines, requiring minimal reconfiguration.

Since installation in 2018, Fayette Tool has been an avid proponent of Unist’s metal-forming package. The initial installation was so successful, Fayette upgraded all of their press lines with Unist systems. Fayette reports saving 65% on fluid usage, improved part quality, and heavily reduced janitorial chores due to eliminating fluid run-off.
